Paul Zavitkovsky has just been named to Illinois Workforce and Education Research Collaborative Advisory Board. IWERC is tasked with identifying the questions most important to Illinois policy and education leaders and then analyzing data to come up with answers that will help more students succeed. IWERC will utilize public data on students from early childhood through college.
IWERC’s goals complement the Illinois Department of Public Instruction’s ambitions to improve education and training for in-demand tech jobs as well as conduct applied research. IWERC sits at the center of both initiatives; it will conduct research on job-readiness. IWERC’s initial funders include the Joyce Foundation; the Steans Family Foundation; the Pritzker Traubert Foundation; the Spencer Foundation; and two anonymous donors.
