CUEL Director Dr. Shelby Cosner gave a virtual talk on June 23 for an online global gathering of roughly 350 policy experts and analysts, national education leaders, and educators at the event “Education Disrupted, Education Reimagined-Part II.” This virtual convening is focused on the impact of COVID-19 and the future of educational systems around the world.  Dr. Cosner’s talk focused on three key moves to guide school reopening: (a) R2–respond and the reimagine, (b) use cycles of inquiry to understand student/parent/teacher experiences during remote learning and to plan for fall re-entry, and (c) expand attention to school capacity development with particular attention to distributed leadership systems and organizational and teacher learning systems. This event runs through June 25 and is sponsored by WISE and the Qatar Foundation.
