The UIC Center for Urban Education Leadership (CUEL) has received a $250,000 grant from the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation to support a two-year project (2024-2026) providing leadership development to Chicago Public School (CPS) Network Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs.  This project is one of several currently underway within the C2 Research Practice Partnership between CUEL and CPS. CUEL Director Shelby Cosner is the project PI and leads the project. Cynthia Barron, CUEL faculty affiliate, is the project’s Co-PI and is a collaborator with Cosner. A number of additional CUEL researchers and leadership coaches are participating on this project.   This project targets strengthening Network and Deputy Chiefs as principal developers with attention to strengthening the coaching of principals as strategic data users with their schools’ leadership teams.
